Buffalo's East Side is getting a green makeover. Sears-Paderewski Park will receive a $2.3 million renovation — a new playground, a stage pavilion, trees, and green infrastructure.

A California man has been indicted on vehicular homicide charges after a fatal crash in Buffalo that killed a passenger riding in a cab.

In Niagara Falls: a young girl ran home crying and terrified after a seven-year-old child chased her with a knife on Hyde Park Boulevard, according to a 911 call reported by Niagara Action. Police responded to the scene; the outcome is still unknown.

And looking ahead: Buffalo will host the 2026 New York State Innovation Summit at the Buffalo Convention Center, October 27 and 28 — more than 550 attendees expected, with $430,000 in startup prizes on the line.

Stay informed. We report, you decide.
